Whether it’s a girl’s night, a get-together, birthday party baby shower, or sprinkle, I jump at the chance to host friends and family. The gift of time spent gathered together with loved ones is certainly not lost on me.
Recently I had the opportunity to host my friend Deb’s sprinkle, in celebration and anticipation of the arrival of baby boy #2. I say “recently” rather loosely, as sweet baby boy is now here on the outside and referred to as Watson, rather than “Baby Boy Neal #2”. He is the cutest, cuddliest little man!
Baby Sprinkles are so fun! They tend to be a bit smaller than a typical baby shower and are a sweet way to spoil the soon-to-be Mama of 2.
We did a brunch themed sprinkle. Brunch lent itself well to delicious, easy food and drinks that were the perfect background for a lovely afternoon celebrating a stunningly strong and amazing Mama!
The menu was simple, yet delicious. We all brought something to share (except of course for Deb, because the goal was to celebrate and spoil her, not to put her to work)
- Krispy Kreme donuts
- Breakfast pizza (recipe below)
- Yogurt Bar
- Mimosa Bar
- make sure to include sparkling juice for the Mama-to-be
Breakfast Pizza Recipe
Breakfast pizza is a favorite in our family. Still to this day my mom makes it for every special occasion. It heats up well, feeds a crowd and is the perfect mix of sweet and savory. Bonus perk: it is so simple to make!
- 1 pkg. large crescent rolls
- 1 package sausage
- 6-8 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese (I use cheddar sometimes)
- Spray 9 X 13 pan
- Spread crescent rolls along the bottom of pan
- Brown sausage and spread evenly over pan
- Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese evenly over pan
- Whisk eggs and milk together and pour evenly over pan. If preparing the night before pour egg/ milk mixture on in the morning right before placing into oven
- Bake at 350 degree for 25-35 minutes.
Though I am not a Mama of 2, through watching my friends that are, I am even more confident that women are strong as hell. We can do hard things, not just because we have to, but because we get to. It is such a joy to come along side of friends through life’s ups and downs.
I’m so thankful for this sweet tribe of women. They teach me so much about grace, strength and boldness. They teach me how to seek Jesus, serve others and always strive for growth and all while having fun along the way!
